On the 16th of November, the Strand Neighbourhood Watch issued a request on their Facebook page to the public, asking for donations to complete their Office network.
In the true spirit of the Festive Season, OptiPower Projects responded to the call for donations, and immediately stepped-up to the plate, offering to sponsor the required equipment for the Neighbourhood Watch\’s Offices. The Strand Neighbourhood Watch is a Non-Profit Organisation, run by members of the public, for the safety and security of the Strand community. As a neighbourhood watch entity, it is the responsibility and primary focus of the entity to support any emergency and policing services where short-comings may be present. For this to happen, the backbone of such operations need to be in an able and ready state, and thus the need for ICT Hardware for their offices.
On the 3rd of December, Johan Brink (ICT Administrator, OptiPower Projects) met up with Strand Neighbourhood Watch\’s Manfred Thieroff (Vice Chair) and Andries Malherbe (Personnel Coordinator), to hand over the donated equipment. The equipment handed over included a Network Cabinet, an Access Point, an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and a Rack Mount Power Distribution Strip.
OptiPower wishes to thank the Strand Neighbourhood Watch for their continued efforts in ensuring a safer neighbourhood for the members of the Helderberg Community. This event was also mentioned here. Save Save
